Irven L. Young, 61, of Aledo, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Aspen Rehab and Health Care in Silvis, IL.
A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Aledo. Military Honors will be accorded at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, at the American Legion Post #121, Aledo, immediately following the memorial gathering.

Irven was born February 20, 1957, in Decatur, IL, the son of Donald Lee and Betty Dresback Young.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was the head mechanic at Cokel’s.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and American Legion Post #121.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include sons, Cainen Young of Moline and Travis Miller of Saybrook, IL; daughters, Nicole (Michael) Young of Colorado Springs, CO and Sommer (Eric) Young of Andalusia; grandchildren, Kaleb, Blake, Zach, Hunter, Shaelyn, Corisa, Alexis, Tristan, Hailey, Kayley, Gracyn, Remi and Carley; great grandchild, Kaiden; brothers, Henry (Candance) of Chicago, Paul of Decatur and Donald (Tina) of Farmer City, IL; sisters, Joyce (Lewis) Erikson of Eureka, IL. Maryann (Jed) Davisson of Arkansas, Kim Young of Decatur, IL and Jennifer Hutton of Washington; and Jimmy his faithful companion of 13 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael and James.
Irven’s family wishes to extend special thanks to hospice caretakers, Kara and Cherish, for their care and continued support; to his friends for helping with food; and his many customers who supported him during his journey.
