Obituary for Jerry L. Russell

Jerry L. Russell, 65, of New Boston, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018, at his home.

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the New Boston United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the church. Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Aledo, is caring for Jerry’s family and arrangements.

Memorials may be left to the Mercer Foundation for Health – Lyme Disease or the New Boston Community Club. Online condolences may be left for Jerry's family at www.bewleyfuneralhome.com.

He was born March 11, 1952, in Muscatine, IA, the son of Floyd Leroy and Lois Elaine King Russell. He married Pamela J. Howlett on September 12, 1970, in Aledo, IL.

Jerry retired from Operating Engineers Local 150. He was a Union cardholder for more than 45 years.

He was a member of the New Boston Masonic Lodge No. 59. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and family game night.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Pamela J. Russell of New Boston; two sons, Adam L. (Jennifer) Russell of Aledo and Troy A. (Heather) Russell of New Boston; five grandchildren, Taylor Russell of New Boston, Kohlman Russell of San Diego, CA, Destinee Russell of New Boston, Lauryn Russell of Aledo and Laryssa Russell of Aledo; one brother, Jeffrey Russell of Aledo; one sister, Joyce (Mark) Ridgeway of Shelbina, MO; mother-in-law, Dora Mae Howlett; brother-in-law, Donald (Joyce) Howlett; several nieces and nephews; and friends, Brian Willits and Bruce Willits.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one uncle, Harley Curtis and one nephew, Brandon Howlett.
