Johnny Casteel
Johnny R. Casteel, 57, of Aledo, IL, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018, at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, at the Riverview Center on the Muscatine River Front. Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Aledo, is caring for the arrangements.

He was born November 29, 1960, in Kennett, MO, the son of John Charles and Barbara Louise Turpin Casteel. He married Shelby L. Brockert on November 4, 1978, in Muscatine.

He retired as a CNC operator from Schmarje.

He enjoyed Nascar, Green Bay Packers, poker, gardening, grilling, patriotic and music. He had a unique sense of humor, loved sunrises and sunsets, and having fun joking around with the grandkids.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Shelby; one son, John (Sabrina) Casteel of Muscatine; one daughter, Alice (Matt) Hesford of Muscatine; grandchildren; Jonathan Casteel of Aledo; Sonia Beauchamp, Donna Beauchamp, Madison Hesford, Jasmine Hesford, Courtney Casteel, Mackenzie Charlier, Joseph Casteel and Kayla Casteel, all of Muscatine and Brianna Casteel of Des Moines; brothers, Marvin (Frances) Flake of Muscatine and Joseph (Heather) Casteel of Rolla, MO; and twin sister, Bonnie (Mike) Albrecht of Lewisberg, TN; nieces; nephews; and best friend, Dave Brockert, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one niece, Amber Hayes.
