Ellen Rose Kallenberger, 79, of Muscatine, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021, surrounded by family at her home.
No public services are planned. Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Rose's family and arrangements.

Rose was born March 30, 1942, in Cost, Texas, the daughter of Walter Jacob William and Ellen Janie Thomas Behlen. She married Duane Gene Kallenberger on March 15, 1961, at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX.
Rose had attended Muscatine Community College and retired as a school associate at McKinley Elementary School on June 6, 2001.
Those left to honor and cherish Rose's memory include her husband, Duane; daughters, Debbie Kallenberger, Kim (Murray) Hogan, Darla (Greg) Blake, LeeAnn (Mike) Rankins; a dear niece, Cheryl (Wayne) Tremmell; her grandchildren, Jacey (Brent) Miller, Jordan (Kelsey) Terrill, Sabrina (Michael) McIntosh, Wyatt (Veronica) Blake, Nataley (Shane) Yeager, Torrie (Hogan) Burke, Kaeley (P.J.) Brenneman, Rebecca (Brandon) Hogan, Summer (Austin) Batha-Rankins and Brooke Batha-Rankins; great-grandchildren, Clara, Chase, Bryleigh, Ivory Rose, Everly, Izabel, Chloe, Oliver, Parker, Olivia, Jace, Greyson, Eden, Colton, Connor and Lizzie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Josie Broughton; brother, Martin Behlen; her mother-in-law, Genevieve Kallenberger; her father-in-law, Raymond Kallenberger; and sister-in-law, Karen Kallenberger.
