Betty Jane McCaw

Betty Jane McCaw, 93, of Aledo, formerly of Keithsburg, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Mercer Manor.

Burial will be held at a later date. Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Betty Jane’s family and arrangements.

She was born November 18, 1927, in Alton, IL., the daughter of Franklin Earl and Mildred Baird Staats. She married Lane C. McCaw on August 9, 1947, in Keithsburg, IL.

Betty Jane had been a salesperson at McCaw Furniture for many years. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her son, Daniel L. McCaw of Keithsburg; daughters, Cherie (Gary) Mehle of Keithsburg and Jennifer L. (Kim) Weeks of Keithsburg; ten grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother, Jerry L. Staats of Davenport, IA; and sister, Nancy A. Hausch of Walcott, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lane; brothers, Larry Staats and Don; sisters, Madeline, Mardell, Netabelle and Shirley; one brother-in-law and one nephew.
