Betty J. Turner, of Aledo, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Genesis Senior Living, Aledo.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, at Boden Community Church. Burial will be in Farlow Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Aledo, is caring for Betty’s family and services.

She was born July 8, 1922 in Glenwood, IA, the daughter of Claude L. and Naomi Kier Curtis. She married Harold “Peaceful” Turner on October 5, 1940, in Davenport, IA.
Betty enjoyed reading and crocheting.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Jean Wood of Iowa City; sister, Vaunda (Bonnie) Spivey of Aledo; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; son-in-law, Jerry Juras; and a dear friend, Sharon Adams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1974, daughter Michelle (Mickey) Juras, three brothers Orton, Robert and Claude Curtis, one sister Katy Hartman, and one nephew Roger Spivey.
