Billie Jane Whitehall, 76, of Muscatine, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, at Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services, Aledo. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenmound Cemetery, Keithsburg.

Billie was born January 5, 1943, in Leesville, LA, the daughter of Fowler William and Nona Texanna Baggs Massingill. She married James Ernest Whitehall on December 7, 1957, in Leesville, LA.
She enjoyed making jewelry, painting and country music; especially going to concerts.
Those left to honor and cherish Billie’s memory include her sons, Denzil (Connie) Whitehall of Nichols, IA, Duane (Lonna) Whitehall of Conesville, IA, Darren (Julie) Whitehall of Muscatine, IA, and Daniel (Marcia) Whitehall of Iowa City, IA; daughters, Delsie (Ryan Schneider) Whitehall of Muscatine, IA and Debra (Bryan) Coleman of Letts, IA; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-one great grandchildren; and two brothers, Joe Gass and Fowler Massingill, both of Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James in 2006, and an infant daughter, Della Jane Whitehall in 1967.
