Carol Joan Lissy

Carol J. Lissy, 78, of Muscatine, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Melpine Cemetery. Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Carol's family and arrangements.

Carol Joan Neipert was born August 4, 1943, in Muscatine, the daughter of Lloyd and Ella Foster Neipert. She married James Lissy on November 5, 1971, in Rock Island.

Carol enjoyed gardening, cooking and playing cards. She loved watching the kids and babysitting.

Those left to honor her memory include her sons, Brian Jones of Muscatine, Eric Lissy of Davenport, Tim Scott Lissy of Muscatine, and Todd Lissy of Muscatine; daughters, Tracy Wagner of Muscatine, Stephanie Brown of Muscatine, Lori (Mark) Seefeldt of Muscatine, and Amy (Dan) Reed of Indianola; twenty grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one brother, Leo Neipert of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James in 2013; two sisters and one brother.
