Cook Cross

Cook Jay Cross, 96, formerly of New Boston and Keithsburg, died Friday, December 1, 2006, at Trinity Medical Center West in Rock Island. He had been a resident of the Aledo Health and Rehabilitation Center for the past year. He was born September 18, 1910, at Lacon, Illinois, the son of George W. and Florence R. Jason Cross. He married Lillian I. Weikert on February 23, 1937, in Muscatine. They lived in the New Boston Bay area until 1953 when they moved to Keithsburg. Survivors include sons Clarence and Kenneth both of Rock Island, Ronald and wife Cindy of East Moline, and Richard and wife Glenna of Michigan; 18 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Dorothy Cross and Pat Cross.
