Darrell Troxel

Darrell Troxel, 68, of Muscatine passed away Thursday, Jun. 14, 2012, at his home. Graveside services will 10:00 a.m. Sat. June 16, at Greenwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Jeffrey S. Memorials may be left to the Darrell Troxel Memorial Fund. He was born Oct. 12, 1943, in Muscatine, the son of Harold Chester and Elizabeth Mae Honts Troxel. He married Linda Diane Rock on April 11, 1963, in Muscatine. They were later divorced. He had been a service technician for B and M Service Heating and Cooling . He enjoyed target shooting and loved auto racing, rebuilding cars, especially drag racers and building stock car engines. He is survived by one son, Allen Troxel; one daughter, Stacy Ridenour, both of Muscatine; grandchildren, Jessika and Brandon Ridenour both of Muscatine; one sister, Haroldyne Lucas of Muscatine. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Harold “Joe” Troxel in 2004, his brother Norman “Bud” Troxel and his sister Elaine Ferrell on June 4, 2012.
