David R. Campbell, 66, of Monmouth, passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, at his home.
Services are 11:00 am Wednesday, March 5, at First Christian Church in Keithsburg. Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services Aledo Chapel is caring for the arrangements. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Tuesday, March 4, at the church.
Memorials may be made to the David Campbell Memorial Fund.
He was born October 11, 1947, in Keithsburg, Illinois, the son of James W. and Alberta E. Tompkins Campbell. He married Carolyn E. Robbins November 16, 1974, in Monmouth, Illinois.
He was a self-employed concrete contractor and retired in October 2012. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Carolyn; his children, Nina Jo Campbell of Keithsburg, David L. Campbell, Charles R. (Tonya) Campbell and McKenzie R. Campbell all of Monmouth; grandchildren, Heather, Linsey, Autumn, Brendon, Kiera and Logan; his mother, Alberta Campbell of Keithsburg; siblings, Steve (Mary Lou) Campbell of Texas, Jamie (Ted) Greer of Joy, Elsie Stotler (Ben Pool) of Keithsburg, Bill (Diane) Campbell of Keithsburg, Danny (Barb) Campbell of Hannibal, MO and Sue Ellen (Rolf) Mitchell of Seattle, WA.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Campbell and one brother Jimmy.
