David B. Stone, 58, of Rock Island died Monday, January 26, 2015, at Trinity Rock Island,

Funeral services were 11:00 AM Friday, January 30. Memorials may be made to the David B. Stone Memorial Fund in care of Marcia Stone.

David was born March 1, 1956, in Rock Island, the son of Rolland and Arliss Feldhahn Stone. He married Marcia Van Speybroeck on March 23, 1991, at Fifteenth Avenue Christian Church in Rock Island.

He owned and operated Dave Stone Paint and Design for 25 years and had worked for the Moline School System as a custodian. He enjoyed duck hunting and was a member of Ducks Unlimited.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Marcia; one son, Chase Burton Stone of Galesburg; his mother, Arliss Stone of Rock Island; two brothers, Craig (Mary) Stone of Florida and Burt (Mardeen) Stone of Moline; and one sister, Deb McMurray.

He was preceded in death by is father, Rolland in 2009.
