Debra Jane Thomas

Debra J. Thomas, 67, of Aledo, IL passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Mercer Manor in Aledo, after a life rich with family and laughter.

Debra Jane Gregory was born Monday, September 9, 1957, in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of Byron and Vera Irvin Gregory. Her vibrant spirit and kind heart touched everyone she met. Debra married Dale A. Thomas at the Mercer County Courthouse in 1990.

Debra's legacy is carried on by her devoted husband, Dale, her loving sons, Landon Thomas of Monmouth, IL, and William Wood of Pevely, MO, and her cherished daughter, Ashley Thomas of Aledo, IL. Her memory will also be treasured by her brother, Jim Gregory; and her sisters, Bridget Farmer and Denise Garrison, all of St. Louis, MO. Debra's playful spirit will be missed by her adored fur babies, Ninja and Jewel.

Her life was a testament to the power of family and the bonds of love. Debra was preceded in death by her parents, who instilled in her the values of kindness and compassion. Her warmth and generosity will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Cremation rites are being accorded. Nichols Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services is caring for Debra’s family and arrangements.
