Donna Yelm

Donna R. Yelm, 69, of Aledo, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, at her home. Services will be 11 AM Monday, January 7, at Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Aledo. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 PM to 7 PM Sunday, January 6, at the funeral home. Memorials may be left to the Donna Yelm Memorial Fund as established at the funeral home.
She was born February 28, 1943, in Rock Island, the daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth Van Vleck Dillon. She married Clare Yelm in 1959. They later divorced.
She loved kids, her pets and helping others. She was an avid mother and grandmother.
Those left to honor Donna’s memory include daughters, Elizabeth (Bud) Kissell and Millisa “Milly” Yelm of Aledo; grandchildren, Raymond Kissell and Kimberly (Tony) Hainline of Aledo and Dustin Kissell of Keithsburg; great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Arabella Hainline; brother, Art (Kathy) Dillon of East Moline; and special friend Aaron Shaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Marcus Yelm and one brother, Thomas Dillon.
