Duane Kallenberger, 88, of Muscatine, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2026, at home with his family by his side.

Duane Gene Kallenberger was born September 14, 1938, in Muscatine, IA, the son of Raymond Leroy and Genevieve E. Martin Kallenberger. He married Ellen Rose Behlen on March 15, 1961, at Lakeland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX.

Duane was a 1958 graduate of Muscatine High School. He served in the US Air Force from 1959 to 1962.

He worked as a Machinist, building tire retreading machines at Bandag, Inc. until his retirement.

He enjoyed flipping houses and doing crafts with Rose, and playing poker with his group of buddies every Friday and Saturday night, but he really liked to go fishing most of all.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Debbie Kallenberger of Letts, IA, Kim (Murray) Hogan of Muscatine, Darla (Greg) Blake of Wapello, IA and LeeAnn (Mike) Rankins of Muscatine, IA; his grandchildren, Jacey (Brent) Miller, Jordan (Kelsey) Terrill, Sabrina (Michael) McIntosh, Wyatt (Veronica) Blake, Nataley (Shane) Yeager, Torrie (Hogan) Burke, Kaeley (P.J.) Brenneman, Rebecca (Brandon) Chesebro, Summer (Austin) Klrmesrud and Brooke Batha-Rankins; and his great-grandchildren, Clara, Chase, Bryleigh, Ivory Rose, Everly, Izabel, Chloe, Oliver, Parker, Olivia, Jace, Greyson, Crue, Eden, James, Nora, Rory, Calvin, Colton, Connor and Lizzie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose; brother Raymond Kallenberger; and sister, Karen Kallenberger.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Duane G. Kallenberger Memorial Fund in care of Darla Blake.
