Duane Mosch, 85, passed away Friday, June 26,2020, following a lengthy illness.


Duane, always a devoted catholic carried his cross with dignity, courage, strength, and devotion. Duane, the son of Nicholas and Mary Fonteyn Mosch was born July 28, 1934, in Marshall, MN.


Duane was a graduate of the University of Iowa with a BS degree and from St. Thomas with an MBA. Prior to attending the University of Iowa, Duane attended Minneapolis School of Art, but after realizing his creations may be altered by engineers, he chose to attend college for engineering. He was a mechanical design engineer and retired from Entegee Engineering Technical Group. He also was a consultant for John Deere. Duane proudly owned 8 patents.


A man of many talents, Duane enjoyed a life filled with his love and commitment to God, his wife, and family. He had a passion for writing and journaling; and authored a book entitled “On the Road to Tallahassee”. He also enjoyed model railroading and camping.


Duane is survived by his loving wife, Jean Mosch after 63 years of marriage. Also left to honor and cherish his memory include his children, Craig H. (Patricia) Mosch, Susan J. (Fred) George, and Michael D. Mosch; grandchildren, Bryan George (Ali), Stephanie Purdy (Trea), Jeremy and Meghan Mosch; great grandchildren, Tyler Purdy, Taj and Braelynn Purdy, Flora George and Lauren George; brothers, Dennis (Nancy) Mosch and Donald (Adelle) Mosch; sisters, Helen Catton and Barbara (Frank) Dewhurst; and the family pet, Tasha.


He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Douglas and Daryl; sister-in-law, Bonnie Mosch; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Catton.


Because of COVID 19, the family will host calling hours for extended friends and family when it is safe to do so. The family will have a private mass at Saint Mathias Church followed by a private interment at Greenwood Cemetery by Nichols Bewley Funeral home and Cremation services.


In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Duane L. Mosch Memorial Fund.
