Dylis McCutchan, 77, of Aledo, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014, at her home in Aledo.
Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 24, at First Baptist Church in Aledo. Burial will be in the Hamlett Cemetery. Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Aledo is caring for the arrangements.
Visitation will be 1:30 PM until service time Tuesday, at the church. Memorials may be made to the Mercer County 4-H Federation or First Baptist Church Youth Ministry.
She was born June 29, 1936, in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Evan and Bertha Pratt Davies. She married Robert Maurice McCutchan on June 14, 1958, in Monmouth, IL.
During her working years, she was a grammar school teacher in the Rock Ridge School District. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Aledo and a member of the Mercer County 4-H for more than 50 years. She enjoyed dancing and received many awards for clogging.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Maurice; son, Mike (Kim) McCutchan of Aledo; daughters, Mary (Tom) Normoyle of German Town Hills, IL. And Marcia (Bob) Brinley of Mundelein, IL; four grandchildren; and brothers, Art and Trevor Davies, both of Little York, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
