Effie Martin

Effie O. Martin, 97, of Moline, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Trinity Rock Island. She was born July 27, 1912, in Shirley, AR., the daughter of John and Sara Alice Waldo Thomason. She married Johnnie Martin on June 12, 1936, in Canton, MO. He preceded her in death on Nov. 30, 1978. She retired after 30 years as a sales lady at Block and Kuhl, The Fashions and Kelins in Rock Island. Those left to honor her memory include two sisters, Iva Johnson of Alabama and Jessie M.
