Eugene "Smiley" O. White, 89, of Aledo, died July 27, 2011, at Mercer County Nursing Home, Aledo.
Graveside services are 10 a.m. Friday at Columbus City Cemetery, Columbus Junction, Iowa.
He was born Sept. 26, 1921. He married Kathel Crawford in 1942. She died in 2007.
Surviving are children, Ron, Rock Island, Linda Maddy, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Sherry Lloyd, Tucson, Ariz., Rick, El Cerrito, Calif., Tammy Wagner, Aledo; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
