Evelyn L. Havel

Evelyn Lucille Havel, 84, of Muscatine, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2006, at Manor Care Health Services in Davenport. Evelyn was born October 26, 1921, in Muscatine County, the daughter of Elmus and Cora Guy Day. She married Wilbur D. Havel on April 16, 1938 at the First Baptist Church in Muscaitne. She had been a sales clerk at Spurgeon's Department Store for 22 years, prior to their closing. She enjoyed sewing and crafts. She loved family get-togethers, cooking and hosting the holiday parties. Evelyn will be missed by her sons, Robert and his wife Diane of Carlsbad, N.M. and Richard and his wife Linda of Muscatine; daughter Judy Anson and her husband Raymond, Jr. of Muscatine; grandchildren Theresa De Aranajo of Hollywood, FL., Bryan Anson and Scott Havel both of Muscatine and William Havel of Buffalo; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1959, four brothers, Floyd, Russell, Robert and Fred and two sisters, Dorothy Ricketts and Helen Jackson.
