Hazel I. McNeal, 94, of Aledo, died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Aledo Rehab & Health Care Center from complications after suffering a stroke. Services are 1:00 p.m. Monday at Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Aledo. Visitation is noon until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Aledo cemetery. Memorials may be given to Aledo Rehab & Health Care Center.
Hazel was born September 30, 1917 in Elmer, Missouri, the daughter of James I. and Okey Stull Morris. She married Clarence Riggins in Elmer, Missouri on May 20, 1933. He died in 1985. She married Bud Hunter. She later married Lee McNeal.
Hazel was a LPN. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Joy. She enjoyed working, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Survivors (and spouses) include her children, Fern Farmer, Tucson, AZ, Robert (Janice) Riggins, Coal Valley, IL, Jerry (Nancy) Riggins, Abilene, TX, Dale (Sandra) Riggins, Moline, IL, Karen (Larry) Hartman, Aledo, IL; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Clarence, Bud and Lee; 2 brothers; 1 sister; 1 grandson and 1 great-grandson.
