Helen L. Dale, 77, of New Boston, formerly of Aledo, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at home.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Helen's family and arrangements.
Helen L. Downey was born January 19, 1946, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Everett Franklin and Betty Jean Knox Downey. She married Vernon G. Dale. They were later divorced.
Helen had worked at J&K Button, Inc. in Muscatine for many years. She then worked at General Grind and Machine in Aledo until her retirement.
She loved camping, fishing and going out on the boat; spending time with family, including her best friend, Alice of Muscatine.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her children, Wanda Hansen of New Boston and Sean Dale of New Boston; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; siblings, Anna Hays of Viola, David (Kathy) Downey of New Boston and Robert (Sherry) Downey of Viola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Vickie Neill; two brothers and one sister.
