Ida L. Newton, 86, of Aledo, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Genesis Senior Living in Aledo.
Services will be 12:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 3, at Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Aledo. Burial will be in the Greenview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, East Moline.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ida was born October 22, 1931, in Sulligent, AL, the daughter of Louis Washington and Mamie Elizabeth Canterbury Williams. She married Earl Newton on June 19, 1954, in Rock Island, IL.
She had worked 26 years as a Racker at Y&S Candies in Moline, IL.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Earl; and sisters, Nettie Ingvall of Moline and Betty (Troy) Morris of Aberdeen, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law.
