John Erwin

John D. Erwin, 83, of Muscatine, formerly of Milan, Ill., died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Lutheran Homes. Private services will be held. He was born November 27, 1923, Muscatine, the son of Raymond and Ella Lewis Erwin. He retired as a heavy equipment operator/driller for Raymond Concrete Pile Company. He enjoyed repair antique clocks in his free time. He is survived by his daughter, Janice Calvert and husband Guy of East Moline, ill.; one brother Ron “Butch” Sprague and wife Margaret of Muscatine; three grandchildren, Tara, Heather and Brian; and five great-grandchildren, Brandon, Paige, Auston, Heath and Alexia; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one great-grandson, Michael, two brothers, Ray and Jim, and one sister, Pauline. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of John D.
