Josephine Hart

Josephine M. Hart, 92, of Muscatine, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at home. There will be no public services. Interment will be in the Nichols Cemetery at a later date. She was born January 5, 1917, in Muscatine, the daughter of Aylette and Mary Huber McGowan. She married Truman Landon in 1937. He died in 1960. She later married James D. Hart in 1962. She was a homemaker. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing and camping. Most of all she loved her family and her dog, Maggie. She is survived by daughters, Judith McKillip of Muscatine and Pauline Hamlin and husband Eugene of Oregon; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; two step children, James Hart and wife Lois and Roger Hart and wife Sun Yong. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two brothers in infancy, one brother Francis McGowan, one grandson Glen Richard and one step-daughter Joy. © 2009 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
