Julia Ann Simmons, 69, of Muscatine, died Saturday, December 23, 2006, at Unity Hospital. She was born August 15, 1937, at Denmark, Iowa, the daughter of Cecil Orville and Mildred S. Hanft Simmons. She retired from Thatcher Plastics after 33 years as a Press Operator and Warehouse Stock Person. She was a loving and caring person and never turned anyone away from her door. She will be deeply missed by sons, Milburn Burroughs, Jr. of Muscatine and Wendell Bradley Burroughs of Des Moines; daughters Ruby Blieu of Fairport, Doris Hoopes of Boca Raton, FL and Milburna Kay Ribbink of Muscatine; twelve grandchildren, Shawna Lynn Hayes, Nathan Blieu, Jerry Lee Roush, Malissa Marie Hoopes, Linsay Jo Hoopes, Rachel Shoppa, Amber June Burroughs, Autumn Jade Burroughs, Julia Ann Burroughs, Milburn Burroughs III, Heather Ann Burroughs and Hannah Kay Burroughs; twelve great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lou Michael Simmons, Robert Keith Simmons and Cecil Anthony Simmons; and six sisters, Barbara Joann Freeman, Leah Jeannie Stork, Susan Marie Parrish, Elizabeth Grace Dillavou, Mary Helen Berardi and Sara Belle Anderson.
