Lois Vance, 97, of Aledo, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014, at Genesis Senior Living, Aledo.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Aledo Chapel. Burial will be at Aledo Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Lois was born December 4, 1916, in Illinois City, IL, the daughter of Clyde and Lela Deakman Rausch. She married Paul E. Vance on December 17, 1939, in Viola, IL.
Lois had been a secretary with Viola High School, Mercer County Clerks Office and Mercer County High Way Department. She enjoyed art work, fishing and camping.
Those left to honor her memory include one son, James (Diana) Vance of Aledo; one daughter, Paula J. Vance of Moline; four grandchildren; one sister, June (Richard) DuBurg of Moline; and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul on July 13, 2007, brothers Kenneth Rausch and Keith Rausch, sisters Lura Hollton, Rachel Sloan and Jewel Rausch in infancy.
