Mary Adams

Mary Elizabeth Newton Adams, 64, of Muscatine, died Sunday, April 24, 2005, at Genesis Medical Center - West Campus in Davenport. She was born August 17, 1940, at Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Allen Alfred and Harriett Elizabeth Nichols Adams. She married Leonard T. Adams February 14, 1989, at Spangler Chapel in rural Muscatine. She had been a cook for Texas A&M University and former Muscatine General Hospital. She was also a cook and waitress in various local restaurants. She will be missed by her husband, Leonard; two sons Troy Wayne Newton and Guy LaVern Newton both of Muscatine; two half-brothers Kevin Newton of Coal Valley, Ill. and Kenneth Newton of Savanna, Ill.; one sister Diane Elefson of Muscatine; and one grandson Jeremiah Brown of Muscatine; five step-sons Robert, Gary, Dale, Carl and Neil Adams all of Muscatine; and two step-daughters Mary Newton and Judy Thompson both of Muscatine.
