Mary K. Dekeyrel

Mary K. DeKeyrel, 77, of Alexis, passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, at home surrounded by her family.

Memorial services for both Mary and Dean will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 19, at Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, November 18, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Spring of 2022 at the Norwood Cemetery.

COVID-19 protocols will be observed for all gatherings. Masks are required.

Mary K. Archer was born May 28, 1944, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Paul Theodore and Dorothy May Fear Archer. She married Alois Dean DeKeyrel on November 26, 1966, in Milan, IL.

Mary had sold Avon for 30 years.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Dean; children, Tom DeKeyrel of Alexis, Paul (Kayla) DeKeyrel of Fulton, IL, and Helena DeKeyrel Posey of North Henderson, IL; grandchildren, Aiesha DeKeyrel of North Henderson, IL, Unique Posey of the Quad Cities and Charles Posey of Galesburg, IL; three great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Margaret Hill; her brother, Larry Jones; and son-in-law, Charles Posey.
