Mary Louise Nevling

Mary L. Nevling, 84, of Aledo, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Mercer Manor.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Mannon Cemetery. Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Mary's family and arrangements.

Mary was born January 27, 1936, in Monmouth, Illinois, in the middle of a snow storm. She thought it was so neat that a mid-wife came in that snow storm to deliver her. The mid-wife was a cousin to Wyatt Earp. How she loved to tell that story.

She worked as a nurse for many years and really cared for people. She was very proud of her family and loved spending time with all of them. She loved the Lord and reading her Bible. She loved going shopping and buying things for others. She also loved a good game of Phase 10. She enjoyed genealogy, metal detecting, shopping, playing cards and was an avid reader.

She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.

Mary was the proud mother of eight children. All she wanted was for them to know she loved them. Those she leaves behind include her sons, Ken (Karen) Nevling of Ramah, CO, John (Carol) Sandison of Hebron, IL, and Roger (Robin) Nevling of Greeley, CO; daughters, Karen (Jim) Brandenberger of Colorado Springs, CO, Sandra (Larry) Summerfield of California, Linda (Tony) Elliott of New Boston, IL, Susan (Dirk) Murphy of Calhan, CO and Sandy Nevling Wilder of Calumet, MI; nineteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Mary was one of twelve children and is also survived by two sisters, Pat Harper of Calhan, CO and Sally Schwaner of Kirksville, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and five sisters.

She is rejoicing Heaven now and wants everyone to know how much Jesus loves them.
