Nancy K. Entas, 66, of rural Kewanee, formerly of Joy and Geneseo, Ill. and Muscatine, Ia. passed away Friday, February 25, 2011, at her home.
She was born October 17, 1944, in Muscatine, Ia. the daughter of Ardis and Norma Benninger Vetter. She married Jerry Fisher in 1964. They were later divorced. She married Charles Entas on April 7, 2001, at the First United Methodist Church in Geneseo.
She was a graduate of Muscatine High School and Muscatine Community College with an Associates degree in Liberal Arts. She had worked as an Animal Welfare Inspector for the State of Illinois Department of Agriculture. She also worked as a toll-taker on the Muscatine Toll Bridge. She previously owned and operated a dog grooming business and was most recently a homemaker.
She taught Sunday School at the First United Methodist Church in Kewanee and was a member of the Garden Club of Kewanee. She was the founder of the Cat Fancier's Association CFA Cat Club. She was a horse lover and enjoyed trail riding, dancing, antiquing and gardening.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Chuck; son, Scott Fisher and wife Asya of Joy; daughter, Wendy Fisher and significant other P. Musil of Antioch; two grandchildren, Matthew David Fisher and Erin Delaney Fisher; her mother, Norma Vetter of Muscatine; and a sister, Judy Willet and husband Mike of Muscatine.
She was preceded in death by her father.
