Patsy J. Bewley, 89, of Aledo, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at Mercer Manor in Aledo.
Patsy JoAnn was born August 28, 1936, in Mercer County Illinois, the daughter of Thomas and Genevieve Beverlin Hagloch. She married Robert E. Bewley on December 26, 1953, in Aledo, IL.
Patsy lived her life with grace and compassion, touching the hearts of everyone she met.
Patsy was a dedicated Outreach Coordinator at Project Now, where she committed herself to improving the lives of those in her community. She retired from Project Now in April 2026. Her passion for helping others and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life made her a cherished figure in Mercer County where she made her home.
Patsy is survived by her three loving sons, Rick (Deanna Minteer) Bewley of Muscatine, IA, Scotty Bewley of Aledo, IL and Gary Bewley of Aledo, IL; five grandchildren, Tiffany (Mark) Gantt, Tamika Bewley, Zachary (Kayla Carle) Bewley, Jake Bewley and Kayla (Sutton James) Bewley; thirteen great grandchildren with one on the way; three step-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; one brother, Tom Hagloch of Aledo, one sister, Carol Franks of Naples, FL; sisters-in-law, Joyce McKinley, Mary Bewley and Arlene Bewley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert E. Bewley in 1995; one great grandson, Luke Gantt; sisters, Betty Salmon and Jean Key; and one step-grandson, Kirk Minteer II.
Family and friends are invited to honor Patsy's life during visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, May 29, followed by an 11:00 am Celebration of her life, all at Nichols Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services. We encourage everyone to come share stories and memories, reflecting on a life well-lived and the indelible mark she left on our lives and community.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember the way Patsy brought joy and warmth to our lives. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
