Randall Joe Fordyce was born February 3, 1958, in Macomb, IL, the son of James Robert and Bonnie Jean Friday Fordyce. He spent most of his life in the Quad Cities and made many lifelong friends.

He was proud of his Native American heritage, attending and participating in many Pow Wows. He could recite music lyrics, movie lines, and quotes and always had a seat reserved for Trivia Nights. He was quite a comedian and found it easy to make everyone laugh.

Randy was a unique person having been poisoned and brought back from a brief lapse of life nearly 30 years ago. He had also been struck by lightning and most recently survived prostate cancer.

Randy said he didn't want any tears after his passing, but of course, many have been shed. He will be sorely missed.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his daughters, Shannon Miller of New Boston, IL and Rhiannon Fordyce of Arkansas; five grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jareth, Jacob, Timothy and Jace.; one great-grandson, Jacob; and his longtime girlfriend of 21 years, Kris Riggs of Orion, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James.
