Ray Westerman

Ray E. Westerman, 87, of Muscatine, died Sunday, August 8, 2004, at Unity Hospital in Muscatine. Ray was born June 28, 1917, at Muscatine, Iowa, the son of William and Gertrude Westerman. He married Dorothy H. Rodgers Nyweide on February 21, 1969 at East Moline, Ill. He retired from John Deere Company in East Moline after 38 years. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; step-children, Bill Nyweide and Donna Tibbetts, Jim Nyweide and his wife Livia, Mary Theobald and her husband Steve, John Nyweide and his wife Pat; eight step-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gertrude and Chuck Merrill and Wanda and Dick Whitman.
