Raymond Reist

Raymond Leslie Reist, 61, of Muscatine, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2006, following an extended illness with dementia. He had resided with his brother and sister-in-law Doug and Candis Reist in Muscatine for the past five years. Raymond was born March 5, 1945, in Muscatine, the son of Herman L. and Mary Ida Reed Reist. He graduated from Rockridge High School in 1963 and Muscatine Community College. He resided in Illinois City until 1967, when he moved to Muscatine. He retired from Kent Feeds in 1998 after 33 years of service. Raymond also helped with his brother Doug's business, Midtown Towing and Repair in Muscatine. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Raymond is survived by his son, David and his wife of South carolina; one grandson of South Carolina; his mother, Mary Ida Reist of Muscatine; one brother, Doug and wife Candis of Muscatine; three nephews, Kyle Reist of Des Moines, Darren and Eric Reist both of Muscatine; one great-niece, Libby Reist of Muscatine; and his step-mother, Ruth Reist of Muscatine.
