Robert Lindquist

Robert J. Lindquist, 87, of Aledo, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Genesis Senior Living, Aledo.

A Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Aledo. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Viola. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, at Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Aledo.

He was born August 19, 1928, in Cable, Illinois, the son of Oscar Fredrick and Mary Ann Kness Lindquist.

He farmed in Mercer County for many years. He was a member of Farm Bureau, serving as president for many years.

Those left to honor his memory include his son, Fred (Heather) Lindquist of Rapids City, IL; daughter, Mary Zamarripa of Texas; grandchildren, Maddie Lindquist, Christopher Zamirripa, Brittany DeFrieze and Jena Mitchell; one great granddaughter, Brenlynn; one step-grandson, Joshua Zamarripa; one step-great granddaughter, Zoey Zamarripa; and one brother, Bill Lindquist of Aledo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Patty Lindquist and one brother, Max Lindquist.
