Robert Scott Peppel

Robert S. Peppel, 58, went on to Heaven on Sunday, July 19, 2020, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Robert was born June 11,1962, the son of Robert L. and Darlene M. (Christner) Peppel. He married Phillis Peterson. They were later divorced and stayed good friends through the years for their girls.

Robert was a hard worker to provide for his family. He worked many places though the years, including McKee Button Company and Pretium Packaging.

Robert enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, Joslyn, Alan, Alaina and Conner; the fifth grandchild is due in December 2020. He loved to spend time with his sisters and nephews; and his cousin Tom loved to go up and see him.

Robert loved to collect Volkswagen cars since he owned one. He was a wrestling watcher and would go to see them when he could. Robert was a kind and giving man. He loved to talk and talk.

Robert attended the Jesus Mission Church in Muscatine. Robert was so kind that when he came to get his three girls for the night or weekend, he would take Zackary too. And whatever the girls got; Zack got too. He never left him out. He was a special man to do this.

He is survived by three daughters, Tiffany (Wyatt) Sylvester, Brittany Peterson and Kayla Peterson; his adopted son, Zackary Phillips; his good friends, Mike and Phillis; two sisters, Rose (Charlie) Sterner and Shelby (Lonnie) Bixby; many cousins, aunt and uncles; and lots of friends. We will all miss him very much.

Robert has gone on to be with loved ones in Heaven, including his parents, Robert and Darlene Peppel; one brother; and his infant child. Robert is dancing in heaven with all that went on before him.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2020, at the Jesus Mission Church 509 Mulberry Ave. Muscatine, Iowa. There will be a lunch served at the church following the service.
