Ronald E. “Butch†Sprague, 74, of Muscatine passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 at University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He was born October 24, 1935, in Muscatine, the son of James and Ella Lewis Sprague. He married Margaret A. Fulton on October 7, 1960, in Iowa City. He had served in the United States Air Force. He retired as a pipefitter for Union Local 387. He raised and showed Field Trial Coon dogs, and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. He was a very social person and loved to talk. He was a great fan of the Hawkeyes, Cubs and Bears. Most of all he loved his grandson Jamie. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Margaret of Muscatine; son Tim and his wife Kristin of Muscatine; grandson, Jamie Sprague of Muscatine; and many nieces and nephews.
