Roxie R. Nichols, 79, of Muscatine, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019, surrounded by her family, at Unity Point Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday, October 1, at the church.
Memorials may be left to American Breast Cancer Foundation.

Roxie was born September 24, 1940, in Marengo, Iowa, the daughter of Jesse and Lucille Sparrowgrove Boyd. She married Robert E. Nichols on June 15, 1957, in Muscatine, Iowa.
She was a welder at HON Industries for many years. She then earned her realtor license and was an agent with Alpine Partners. She later became office manger for Dr. Ranald Olson and Dr. Lawrence Gatzke.
Roxie was past president of the Muscatine Girl's Softball Association and coached for more than 40 years.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Robert; son, Rich of Muscatine; daughter, Lynn (Phil) Adams of Culleoka, TN; grandchildren, Travis Nichols, Amanda Daniels, Sean Adams, Zack Adams, Jessica Adams and Cody Adams; great grandchildren, Landon, Alexis, Gauge, Karly, Karson, Isobel, Chandler and Thomas; siblings, Muchelle "Mikey" (Clayton) Reed and Bill (RaLynn) Boyd; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jack Boyd.
