Russell Lott

Russell A. Lott, 64, of Park View, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, September 23, at Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Aledo. Burial will be at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Aledo, with military honors by Mercer County VFW Post # 1571. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 22, at the funeral home.

Russell Aaron was born October 4, 1948, in Springfield, Illinois, the son of William Dale and Edna Mae Stickel Lott. He married Sandra M. Hall on June 29, 1974, in Perryton, Illinois. He had been employed as a supervisor with International Harvester for ten years and most recently was self-employed as an insurance adjuster with Lott and Associates.

He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of the American Homebrewers Association. He enjoyed rebuilding equipment, brewing beer, spending time with the grandkids and traveling to the Caribbean.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sandra; sons, Travis (Lien) Lott of St. Paul, MN and Jesse of St. Paul, MN.; daughter, Laura (Jon) Irving of Maryland; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, one brother and two sisters.
