Ruth A. Randall, 89, of Aledo, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Aledo Health and Rehabilitation Center in Aledo.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, at Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services, Aledo. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the Aledo Cemetery.
Ruth was born March 24, 1929, in Aledo, the daughter of Benjamin and Alma Brown Board. She married Benjamin Randall on September 2, 1949, in Aledo. They were divorced in 1977.
She was a member of the Aledo High School graduating class of 1947 and attended the University of Illinois - Galesburg.
She worked at Eagle Signal for several years. She was also self-employed as a housekeeper and did wallpapering.
Ruth was a member of the Viola Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed ceramics, porcelain, needlepoint, and wallpapering.
She loved her family and friends very much.
Those left to honor and cherish Ruth's memory include her sons, Chad (Michelle) Randall of Hohenwald, TN, Kyle Randall of Whitehall, IL, and Bart (Ginger) Randall of Knoxville, IL; one daughter, Gwen (Michael) Funner of Rock Island, WA; twelve grandchildren, Chad Randall II, Matthew (Jacqueline) Randall, Tovi Funner, Joshua Randall, Heather Randall, Lucy Randall, Tina Randall, Crystal Randall, Dustin Randall, James Randall, Michael Randall and Andi Olivia Randall; fifteen great grandchildren; and her twin sister, Evelyn Anderson of Kewanee, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Dirk L. Randall in 1966, one brother, Harold J. Board in 1944, and her former husband Ben.
