Sandra Rock

Sandra Jo Rock, 63, of Muscatine, died Monday, August 23, 2004, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Sandra was born January 17, 1941, at Muscatine, the daughter of Everrett Ellis and Cleo Lorene Owens Longstreth. She graduated from Muscatine High School in 1959. She married Eugene F.G. Rock on June 6, 1959, at the Lincoln Boulevard Baptist Church in Muscatine. She was head of human resources for Carver Pump Company for 31 years. She was a member of Calvary Church. She will be remembered for her bright smile and the joy she brought to others by giving of herself. Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Eugene F.G. Rock; one son, Walter E. Rock of Seattle, Wash.; one daughter, Virginia L. Harrison of Muscatine; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her father, Everrett E. Longstreth of Muscatine; one brother, Rev. Jerry Longstreth of Chillicothe, Ill.; two sisters, Virginia Sissel of Muscatine and Janice Sanborn of Kansas City, Kan.
