Sherry L. Franklin

Sherry L. Franklin, 70, of Muscatine, passed away surrounded by family, Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Lutheran Living.

Per Sherry’s wishes no services will be held at this time. Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Sherry's family and arrangements.

Sherry Lee Hill was born June 11, 1952, in Muscatine, the daughter of Delmar "Bud" and Darlene Mae Staats Hill.

Sherry had retired from the Housekeeping Department at Unity Point Health Systems in Muscatine. She had previously worked at Ring King/Curtis.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also had a special place in her heart for animals. She really enjoyed walking, working puzzles and watching her TV programs and especially loved watching Madea movies.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her son, Jay (Teresa) Franklin of North Liberty, IA; daughters, Jennifer Hart of Clive, IA, Melissa Nipper of Muscatine, and Kim McCleary of Ohio; eleven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, James (Tanya) McBride of West Liberty, IA; and sisters, Linda (Louis) Simpson of Muscatine, IA, Marcia (Kevin) Birkhofer of New Hall, IA, Yvonne Orr and her husband Brandon Buster of Muscatine, IA, Delma (Jimmy) Young of Ramrod Key, FL, and Darla (Scott) Doty of Stanwood, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Michael Hill and Mitchell Longcor; and sisters, Debra Berger and Lori Rick.
