Shirley A. Johnson, 90, of Aledo, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Genesis Senior Living in Aledo.
Per her wishes there will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Aledo Chapel is in care of the arrangements.
She was born September 7, 1923, in Aledo, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Vera Holt Wakeland. She married Marvin W. Johnson in 1942 in Aledo.
She was a photographer and enjoyed animals.
Those left to honor her memory include daughters, Barbara (Bill) O’Hearn of New Boston and Susan (Allen) Simpson of New Tazewell, TN; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sisters Margie Alsip of DeKalb, IL and Barbara Drake of Ft. Meyers, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
