Shirley J. Palmer, 79, of Aledo passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Aledo Health Care Center.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Aledo.

Shirley was born July 5, 1936 in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of William West and Hazel Hooper Slaughter. She married Walter Malone in Quincy, Illinois in 1952 and later married Michael Palmer.
Shirley worked in area nursing homes. Shirley enjoyed her family, reading and music.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Randy (Janet) Malone, Aledo, Pam Jenkins, Lewistown, Missouri and Don (Leah) Malone, Rushville, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Delores, Margaret, Yvonne and Patsy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
