Steven A. Larson

Steven A. Larson, 64, of Viola, formerly of New Boston, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016, at his home.

Abiding by his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded with no public services. Bewley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Aledo, is caring for the arrangements.

Steve was born May 14, 1952, in Moline, IL, the son of Robert Frank and Bessie “Rosie” Pegg Larson.

He was a 1970 graduate of Westmer High School. He was an over-the-road semi-truck driver until his retirement in 2014, and enjoyed the different areas as he traveled.

He married Peggy Fuller in 1970. They had two children, Rob and Leda. In 1999, he married Peggy McDonald Russell.

Steve liked traveling, playing cards, spending time with family and most of all, eating out at restaurants. Steve was a man that would do anything for anyone. He will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Peggy; children, Robert D. (Brittney) Larson of Eldridge, IA and Leda L. Larson of Davenport, IA; two grandchildren; two brothers; two step-brothers and two step-sisters; six step-children; 15 step-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Larson, mother and step-father, Rosie and Wayne Hess; and one brother, Jimmy Larson.
