Wayne Boyd

Wayne A. Boyd, Sr., 58, of Rock Island, passed into Heaven on Saturday, January 2, 2010, at Trinity Medical Center West, following a long battle with kidney disease. He was born January 18, 1951, in Rock Island, the youngest son of Leonard and Susan Northern Boyd. He graduated from Rock Island High School in 1969. He later earned his Associates Degree from Scott Community College. He married Linda Criddle on Oct. 28, 2001, in Rock Island. He was previously married to Patricia Sue Pullen. He had four children with Diane Richardson. Wayne had worked for the past 16 years at Oscar Mayer in Davenport. He loved jazz music, cars, watching t.v. and playing with his dog, Max. His warm smile will be missed by many loved ones and friends. Wayne is survived by his wife, Linda; his mother, Susan Boyd of Rock Island; one son, Wayne, Jr. (JoJo) of Minnesota; three daughters, DeAnn (Mark) Boyd, Angela (Ken) Wright and Tiffany (Edward) Boyd all of Minnesota; one step-son, Eric Wyers of North Carolina and one step-daughter, Heather Moreno of Davenport; one brother, Donald Boyd of Rock Island; four sisters, Shirley Jones, Beverly Taylor, Marilyn (Raymond) Robbins and Sharon (Michael) Payton all of Rock Island; 11 grandchildren, with one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
