William O. O’Hearn, 71, of New Boston, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015, at home.

William was born March 3, 1944, the son of Ovid and Frances Greer O’Hearn. He married Barbara A. Johnson on December 29, 1962, in Aledo.
He had worked as a machinist at John Deere - Harvester, East Moline until his retirement in 1993. He had also served as a first responder in New Boston and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Barbara; his children, Teresa (Brad) Price of Elkhart, Indiana, Ron (Jen) O’Hearn of Tuscola, Illinois and Mike (Chau) O’Hearn of Elgin, Illinois; grandchildren, Liz and Jeremy Jinkerson, and Katie, Kara, Emily and Michelle O’Hearn; great grandchild, Lee Jinkerson; brother, Pat O’Hearn of Davenport, Iowa; sister, Sheila Tracy of Aledo, Illinois; four nieces; and seven nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant brother.
